Keeping this thought in mind and pledging to reduce plastic use, reuse, and recycle paper, was a mission that brought Carragreen into ideation to provide a substitute that’s cost-effective, easily accessible by the masses, comfortable to use, and Eco friendly by nature.

Keeping this thought in mind and pledging to reduce plastic use, reuse, and recycle paper, was a mission that brought Carragreen into ideation to provide a substitute that’s cost-effective, easily accessible by the masses, comfortable to use, and Eco friendly by nature. began to take shape when our founder, Surabhi Shah submitted her idea at IIM Bangalore and that was then selected as one of the TOP 100 startup ideas out of 6000 in India under Women Startup Program. With IIM Indore as her incubation center, Surabhi is unstoppable on her way to achieving her goals in her own creative and functional ways.
Who We Are
Coming from a business family that’s been into manufacturing paper packaging products for the food industry for 35 years, Surabhi sharpened her skills at the establishment and orchestrated the setting of an in-house printing unit there while she paved way for Carragreen to take shape as her baby.
Her partner and the co-founder of Carragreen, Chetna Shah is a great support both with her ideas and experience.
With regular and thorough market research and consumer analysis, Carragreen is continuously and steadily growing like Mother Nature with simplistic yet innovative solutions that Care for the Green and make you Carry Green!
Eco- warriors Surabhi Shah & Chetna Shah understood that a huge habitat on our Planet is affected because of the various non-biodegradable resources being used by humans for their convenience. After reading about sustainable living they came up with a business idea of replacing plastic in the packaging industry.
Providing green alternatives in day to day products to people became their focus.
In their company/initiative they provide pencils made from newspaper and Recycled Paper, Biodegradable spoons that substitute for disposable plastic and wooden spoons at affordable rates.
Their mission to save trees and protect our planet from Plastic pollution is being supported by IIM Bangalore,IIM Indore and was awarded by Samriddh Madhya Pradesh Forum.
